As each day unfolds and reveals itself to you your eyes start gathering information, lights shade shape form texture distance colour what’s moving what’s not. Will we be warmed by the suns presence today or are we going to be enveloped in the clearer cool colours of the grey skies, most of what you see you use or disregard, either way the images you’ve seen you rarely retain. Sadly some images worth seeing slip by in your haste to follow the day’s routine. And with them goes the opportunity to enjoy a visual tonic. I see them…
It’s easy to stand in and admire a beautiful landscape or vista and feel the renewed flow of energy through your soul as you ponder the reality that these big open places do exist and our world still has this beauty for us to see and feel. Normally these scenes are a treat when we are away on holiday or require an effort to reach, these refreshing sights are often a lot smaller, they can be seen in so many things that surround us maybe a bee on a flower, fruit still on the tree showing the bright warm colours of ripeness against the crisp greens of the leaves, it can be seen in the assorted foliage and flowers in your garden, or in the patterns left by water in the sand as
you walk your dogs down the beach. It’s all just a matter of perception….
Watch a cloud form then dissolve in the sky, a wave charge forth then fold gently on the shore, or the way the water surface gently rolls and shivers when there’s no wind to ruffle and shape it. Maybe it’s the glow you see in new leaves when the sun reflects off or penetrates them, often highlighting lines and tones or water droplets from last evening’s rain. You will find these images here, for a small price they can be yours. You may choose to print them as 5x7 in a simple frame or clustered to fill a space and create a mood, or view it as a large image 1 metre wide printed on fine canvas with a black border so you can loose yourself in it for a while. There has been no altering or touch ups, no photoshop. These are things that have caught my eye, an image the way it was for a brief moment, simply as I see it.
